XL Group Ltd Announces Appointment of Andre Keller as Chief Investment Officer

Hamilton, Bermuda - December 05, 2016

XL Group Ltd (“XL”) (NYSE: XL) announced today that Andre Keller will become its Chief Investment Officer on January 1, 2017, following the retirement of Benji Meuli at the end of this year.Mr. Keller is currently Head of Global Asset Positioning and a Managing Director. He will report to XL’s Chief Financial Officer Pete Porrino and will be based in New York City.Mr. Keller has held a variety of leadership roles at XL Catlin and at global financial institutions. Prior to his current role he was Head of CIO Office and Deputy CIO at Catlin Group Ltd, and was head of Asset Management and Deputy CIO at Nationale Suisse, Basel. Additionally, Mr. Keller has held a number of senior asset management roles at Swiss Re.Commenting on the CIO changes, Mr. Porrino said: “The fact that we are able to fill this role from within demonstrates the high quality of talent here at XL Catlin.
