XL Group appoints Marcus Gonzales as General Manager UK Branch and Head of International Casualty for Reinsurance Operations

 Dublin, Ireland - April 17, 2012

XL Group plc’s (NYSE: XL) (“XL”) reinsurance operations today announced the appointment of Marcus Gonzales as General Manager UK Branch and Head of International Casualty based in London.

Mr. Gonzales brings with him a wealth of experience gained most recently at Aspen Re, London, where he was Head of International Casualty Reinsurance responsible for overseeing the development of the Casualty Reinsurance business outside of the U.S.

During his 20 year insurance career, Mr. Gonzales spent over 15 years at General Reinsurance where he held a number of senior positions in the U.S. and UK before being appointed Casualty & Financial Lines Facultative Manager UK & Ireland in 2006.
