XL Catlin in Iberia appoints Eduardo Guinea as Client & Distribution Leader

XL Catlin’s insurance operation in Iberia today announced the appointment of Eduardo Guinea as Client & Distribution Leader Iberia. In his new role, Eduardo Guinea will support the growth of XL Catlin’s insurance business. He will be based in Madrid and report into José Ramón Morales, Country Manager of XL Catlin’s insurance operation in Iberia. Commenting on the appointment, José Ramón Morales said: “I’m very pleased to have Eduardo joining us. He combines a broad spectrum of business development, insurance and underwriting skills with a thorough understanding of the Iberia market. Eduardo’s experience will help us extend our distribution channels across Iberia and strengthen as well as increase our partnerships with brokers. This will consequently make our broad product suite available to more clients, especially in the Financial Lines and Specialty areas. Eduardo Guinea has 12 years of industry experience. Most recently he was Product Manager, Team Leader and Channel Champion Financial Lines at AIG. He holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Marketing and Sales from the ESADE Business School, a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from La Rioja University as well as a Bachelor of Economic Science Degree from the Valladolid University.
