XL Catlin Adds Nancy Bewlay as Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Casualty Insurance

XL Catlin’s insurance operations has named Nancy Bewlay as Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Casualty, effective April 17.In her new role, Ms. Bewlay assumes underwriting and portfolio management for all of XL Catlin’s Casualty insurance coverages globally. She will be based in Stamford, Connecticut, reporting to Neil Robertson, Chief Executive, Insurance Underwriting.Commenting on Ms. Bewlay’s appointment, Mr. Robertson said: “We’re excited for Nancy to join us. In her recent tenure with Swiss Re, she served as managing director and head of Casualty for the US and Canada, responsible for the development and management of the company’s casualty portfolio.
