Property Underwriter for Risk Management, Analytics and Innovation appointed in IPC

XL Group plc’s (NYSE: XL) insurance operations (“XL Group”) today announced the appointment of Roland Brandt as Property Underwriting Manager Risk Management, Analytics and Innovation for the International region. Mr Brandt will be based in Munich and will report to Matthias Horntrich, Chief Underwriting Officer, International Property.Roland Brandt joins XL Group from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty where he was Head of Risk Consulting in Germany and Central Europe.Mr. Brandt will coordinate and lead the activities of XL Group’s International Property insurance business in risk assessment, leveraging client industry expertise, best in class risk management and innovation. He will drive the review and ongoing enhancement of how analytical information is used in the underwriting decision process.
