Katrine Nielsen Promoted to Manage XL Group's Environmental Insurance Business in Canada

XL Group has promoted Katrine Nielsen to Assistant Vice President – Environmental Team Lead. Ms. Nielsen reports to Joseph Madigan, regional manager for Canada in XL Group’s North America Environmental business and works closely with Canadian Country Manager Cindy Guyatt in Toronto. In her new role, Ms. Nielsen will manage XL Group’s Toronto-based Environmental underwriting team that helps a wide variety of Canadian businesses address environmental liability concerns with pollution insurance protection and other environmental risks management services. Her environmental industry experience also includes tenure as an Environmental Scientist for Aqua Terre Solutions Inc. before beginning her insurance career. Ms. Nielsen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in environmental studies from Royal Roads University, Victoria, British Columbia.
