AXA XL to expand its UK mid-market presence with appointment of Hannah Hosking
London - April 04, 2023
AXA XL today announced it will expand its offering and capabilities to serve mid-market clients and has appointed Hannah Hosking as Head of Mid-Market to lead the strategy across the business, focusing on growth for AXA XL at the higher end of this key market segment.
Commenting on Ms. Hosking’s appointment, Sean McGovern, CEO, UK & Lloyd’s, said: “By expanding our offering we’re looking to bring our expertise and knowledge of working with large corporates in underwriting, claims management and risk prevention services to larger mid-market clients in the UK.
“Working together with our colleagues at AXA UK, who will continue to expand their proposition and serve mid-market clients, we will ensure AXA is able to service the needs of this very important and broad client segment and close the gap between our two distinct propositions.
“We believe this is an exciting opportunity for AXA in the UK and are delighted to welcome Hannah to the team.”
Ms Hosking brings to the role over 20 years’ experience, holding senior positions running strategic distribution and regional operations in the mid-market space.
Elie Hanna, Chief Distribution Officer, UK & Lloyd’s, commented: “Hannah’s extensive experience is rooted in customer proposition, regional management, sales and distribution in the UK mid-market sector, from both a carrier and broking perspective, making her a great fit for this role.”
Ms. Hosking was previously Head of Distribution - Independent Brokers, UK&I at Chubb. During her insurance career she has held senior positions running regional operations for Hiscox, AON and spent five years as a regional manager for AXA UK.
Ms. Hosking will join AXA XL later this year.
