AXA XL strengthen Distribution team in Spain

AXA XL Insurance today announced the appointment of Dario Martin Gil as Client Distribution Leader, Iberia.

In this role, Mr. Gil will contribute to enhancing client and broker engagement in Spain and Portugal, while supporting the delivery of exceptional service.

Blanca Pfretzschner, Head of Distribution for the Iberia region at AXA XL, commented: "Our clients are facing significant challenges: inflation, supply chain shortages and the energy crisis, among others. They are looking for long-term partners to support them through these challenging times.”

She added: “We’re delighted to welcome Dario to the team. He has extensive knowledge of P&C insurance and a wealth of experience both on the broker and carrier side, which makes him an ideal candidate to work with our partners in Spain and Portugal.”

Mr. Gil began his career in 2012 with Willis Towers Watson before joining Marsh & McLennan Companies in 2023. He then became a Property Underwriter at Zurich Global Corporate and was later appointed as Broker Relationship Leader at Allianz. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
