AXA XL strengthen Casualty team in Iberia with two key hires

AXA XL Insurance today announced it has appointed Carolina Iniesta and Esther Zambrana as Senior Underwriters, Casualty – Iberia. Mmes Iniesta and Zambrana are respectively based in Madrid and Barcelona.

Juan Cuerdo, Underwriting Manager, Casualty – Iberia at AXA XL, commented: “General economic inflation across the world and social inflation in the United States have had an impact on our Spain and Portugal-based clients’ liability risks over the last few years. Our role as underwriters is to work closely with our clients to help them understand these exposures and to develop solutions to manage and transfer those risks.”

He added: “Both very experienced casualty insurance professionals, Caroline and Esther are ideal candidates to help our brokers and clients navigate the current environment. I’m delighted to welcome them both to the team.”

Mrs Iniesta has more than 20 years of experience in liability underwriting; she joins AXA XL from Chubb where she was most recently Senior Underwriter, Casualty. Mrs. Zambrana started her career in 2002 with Oller Business Insurance Brokers before joining HDI in 2014 where she most recently held the role of Casualty Underwriter.
