AXA XL promotes Blanca Pfretzschner to Head of Distribution, Iberia

AXA XL Insurance today announced it has promoted Blanca Pfretzschner to Head of Distribution in Iberia.

In this role she will be responsible for developing and implementing AXA XL’s distribution and client management strategy in Spain and Portugal. She will work closely with other functions within AXA XL and the wider AXA Group to bring innovative solutions to clients and brokers in the Iberia region.

Commenting on the promotion, Enrique López Torrents, Country Leader in Iberia at AXA XL, said: "Blanca has a wealth of experience in distribution, both on the insurance and broking side, and a deep understanding of our market, which positions her ideally to lead our distribution efforts in Iberia and further strengthen our relationships with our brokers and clients."

Blanca Pfretzschner has more than 20 years’ experience working in the insurance industry. She joined AXA XL Iberia in 2021 as Head of Client Management from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialties where she was Head of Market Management & Communications. She previously held leadership roles at AON, Marsh and WTW and holds a Business Administration Degree from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
