
AXA XL appoints Sylvie Gleises as Country Manager Singapore

AXA XL Insurance today announced the appointment of Sylvie Gleises as Country Manager, Singapore effective September 1st, 2021, subject to regulatory approval.
Ms. Gleises, today Global Head of Revenue Synergies and Head of Client Management for APAC & Europe, will in her new role, oversee the insurance operations and drive AXA XL’s go-to-market strategy in Singapore. She will report to Gilles Fromageot, Regional Manager for Asia, AXA XL and will be based in Singapore.

The latest World Economic Forum Global Risks Report highlights extreme weather, climate action failure and human environmental damage as three of the top risks by likelihood. Mr. Veyry continued: “Sylvie’s extensive experience across different business functions and her client focused approach position her ideally to lead our presence in Singapore and work closely with our clients and brokers. I look forward to Sylvie bringing her passion and entrepreneurial spirit to the role.”
Ms. Gleises joined AXA Group in 2006 and has since held several strategic positions including Chief of Staff to the Group’s former Chairman & CEO Henri de Castries, CEO for Continental Europe and Global Head of Distribution & Marketing for AXA Art.
Mr. Kevin Leong, currently Country Leader for AXA XL in Singapore, Managing Director for AXA Singapore Commercial Lines and Chief Underwriting Officer for AXA Asian Markets, is leaving for opportunities outside of AXA.
