AXA XL appoints Erik Wolper as Underwriting Manager, Casualty and Environmental for Benelux

Amsterdam - September 22, 2022

AXA XL today announced it has appointed Erik Wolper as Underwriting Manager, Casualty & Environmental, Benelux, effective October 1^st. He will succeed Piet van der Have who will retire at the beginning of next year. Messrs. Wolper and van der Have will work together to ensure a smooth transition.

In this role, Mr. Wolper will manage AXA XL’s Casualty & Environmental insurance portfolio in the Benelux. He has been leading AXA XL’s Financial Lines team as well as, since recently, AXA XL’s Art & Specie business in the Benelux.

Having significantly contributed to the development of our Financial Lines business, I am confident that he is perfectly positioned to lead our Casualty & Environmental team.”

Mr. Wolper has 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. He started his career with AIG Europe as a financial lines underwriter before joining Zurich Financial services as a senior underwriter. He has been with AXA XL since 2016 where he has been leading the Financial Lines team and, most recently, the Art & Specie business.
