
AXA XL appoints Enrique López Torrents as Country Manager, Iberia

AXA XL today announced the appointment of Enrique López Torrents as Country Manager, Iberia, effective May 9th, subject to regulatory approval. He will succeed José Ramón Morales who will be leaving AXA XL to pursue opportunities outside of AXA Group.
Julien Guénot, Regional Manager, Southern Europe, commented: “Enrique brings a deep understanding of our business, having held strategy, middle office and distribution roles across AXA. That, combined with his experience and his knowledge of the Spanish market position him ideally to lead our teams in Spain, driving collaboration and innovation to continue to support our clients and brokers in Iberia.”
Mr. Guénot added: “I am thankful to José Ramón for his dedication and his many contributions to our operations in Spain throughout his 10-year tenure with AXA XL.”
Mr. López Torrents joined AXA in 2005 as Program Manager for AXA Seguros. He moved to Paris in 2010 to work for GIE AXA and AXA Global Life as Program Director, where he led the implementation of international Property & Casualty and Life & Savings initiatives. He joined AXA XL in 2017 as Senior Operations Lead for Southern Europe & Latin America. He was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Europe, before joining AXA XL’s APAC & Europe Business Unit as Head of Distribution Performance Management. He holds a Law degree, a Master’s Degree in Marketing and completed IESE Business School’s Executive Training Program.
