AXA XL announces the appointment of Laura García García as Marine Underwriter, Iberia

Madrid - October 30, 2019

AXA XL Insurance today announced the appointment of Laura García García as Marine Underwriter, Iberia, based in Madrid. In this role, she will play a key part in the development and management of AXA XL’s Marine insurance portfolio in Spain.

Laura García García has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance sector. She started her career as a credit insurance specialist at Atradius and then Euler Hermes. She joined Willis Towers Watson as a broker in 2010 and started working for Zurich Insurance Company in 2014 where she held several underwriting roles before specializing as a Marine Underwriter. She holds a degree in English Philology from the University of the Basque Country and is currently studying towards a Masters in Shipping Business Administration and Logistics from the Spanish Maritime Institute.
