Integrating Sustainability
All companies have a role to play in building a more resilient future.
Incorporating sustainability considerations into our internal processes and practices builds resilience from the roots of our business.
We’re training our colleagues, engaging our external partners, and evolving our sustainability governance and reporting.
Our goals:
Our actions so far:
Supporting our communities
At AXA XL, we are committed to supporting the local communities in which we live and work through volunteering and charitable giving programs. We call these our Hearts in Action programs. These include our annual Global Day of Giving, where colleagues across all AXA XL offices in 28 countries spend a day donating their time and skills to hundreds of nonprofits and schools.
Delivering sustainability training
Sustainability training and regular updates are provided to boards of AXA XL’s key regulated entities, covering the concepts associated with climate in the areas of physical risk, transition risk and liability risk, as well as other sustainability dimensions. The training also provides information around regulations, the role of the board, reputation-related risks, and climate and sustainability strategies.
We have developed sustainability training that is now available to all AXA XL colleagues.
Managing supply chain risks
AXA XL’s commitment to acting responsibly is also evident in our Responsible Procurement processes, which include a Sustainability clause incorporated into our contracts with our vendors globally.
We are committed to measuring and reducing the carbon footprint associated with our supply chain, as well as improving our human rights-related due diligence with our suppliers by 2026.
